The National Foundation
The National Foundation was established to secure and protect the future of the National Party. It strives to ensure the Party can continue to promote and preserve strong centre-right values and shape the course of New Zealand across generations.
Future Fund
The National Foundation carefully manages a capital-protected Future Fund that seeks to strengthen and secure the long-term finances of the National Party. Contributions to the Future Fund, such as bequests, are invested and untouched. The proceeds will be used to create stable revenue to support National’s operations and activities. ultimately over time reducing reliance on electorate levies.
National House
At the heart of the National Foundation is National House - the home of the National Party in Wellington. Ideally situated close to Parliament Buildings, this Category 2 Historic Place has a rich history, including as the former residence of two National Prime Ministers - Rt Hon Sir Sidney Holland and Rt Hon Sir Keith Holyoake.
This core asset was purchased by the Foundation in 2013. The upstairs areas house National’s head office, while the large downstairs function area is a place where National Party members and supporters are always welcome.
